![]() ![]() ![]() This setting when hanging on the wall gives you very good coverage but does require you to turn the hot water up a bit since it is so highly pressurized. There is one setting that we use as the "standard" setting which is the dual spray setting (this comes from the two black dots left and right on the shower head). It looks very nice and is very easy to use. You can watch what goes down the drain and it isn't a lot yet it feels like you are using up all the hot water. It has very good pressure for a low flow shower. Rhonda of the Valley, where a bar of soap won't make one sud.Īfter our Oxygenics single flow high pressure shower head sprung a leak, this is the one that I chose to replace it. There are no instructions for cleaning (limestone removal is a must with our water) but no cautions about never using vinegar and no smell of vinegar (as from silicone putty holding everything together), so we'll see. This is the third handpiece I've tried - the first two leaked and one dribbled as well. The instructions, by the way, don't match the hose - the two ends (both female, with nice deep threads)are identical, not one long, one short as described.Īnd, the showerhead works very nicely, with no dribbles in the patterns. I can't speak for the water pipe end as I don't use a bracket and didn't change that connection (our water is so hard that the stalactites in the bend of the hose clog everything, so the showerhead lies on the bottom of the bathtub to drain between showers). The good news is that the handpiece screwed onto my nice old flexible 72" hose with no problem and no leaks, so "installation," if it could be called that, couldn't have been simpler. And I sure wouldn't get a wrench or pliers anywhere near any part of it! There's no "hand-tighten only" caution in the instructions - just "tighten." The plastic on the connectors (both female) is quite thin - I'm not sure I'd trust it to be able to take the stress of hanging the handpiece up against the pressure of the stiff hose for very long. That makes it too short to do a good job on feet if the water pipe is up high, as it is on my bathtub converter rig. The hose is very stiff and kinky (and aggressively ugly!) and while it may be 60" from the end of one connector to the end of the other, the effective length (i.e., when screwed onto the handpiece and water pipe) seems (the kinks wouldn't straighten for very accurate measurement) to be at least two inches short of that. Too bad Oxygenics couldn't have an honest white option for their plastic. I spent quite some time trying to find out if I was getting plastic with ugly chrome skin on it or metal, bought it assuming I'd get plastic and I was right - I doubt if there's a milligram of metal in any part of this outfit.
